Assistant Manager
Location: Duncan Village
The Assistant Manager is responsible for:
- Leading shifts to ensure team members are delivering the Costa Customer Experience
- Handling any customer issues
- Performing all required reporting/paperwork and ensuring team members are following SOP’s and policies
- Delegating and overseeing routine tasks
- Supporting the Store Manager in all areas
Cash Handling
- Confirming tills balance before leaving shift
- Monitoring change to ensure there is enough for tills on a weekly basis
Signage
- Sale signage correct and up to date
- Feature signage correct to date with the company calendar
- Outdoor banners properly placed
- Outdoor sandwich boards properly place
- Outdoor signage positioned correctly
Stocking and Merchandising
- Ensuring the front end is always stocked with available product
- Putting away orders/box prep/cardboard breakdown
- Updating smell jars for new product (cards, recording new opened product)
- Updating Buddi
- Updating the menus
- Setting up new product displays
Cleanliness
- Ensuring closing and cleaning checklists are completed and signed off properly
- Delegating additional cleaning duties when appropriate
- Modeling the standard of cleanliness with all team members
Ordering/Audit
- Receiving orders
- Doing weekly counts on the Stores assigned day if Store Manager is absent
- Performing audits on the Stores assigned day if Store Manager is absent
- Creating and completing purchase orders if Store Manager is absent
- Performing product returns
Team Member Training
- Working with Store Manager to perform orientations with new team members
- Coaching and developing new team members
- Coaching existing team members on product knowledge and new projects/tasks
Leadership
- Staff mentorship
- Assisting Store Manager with performance
- New product suggestions
- Research the competition for pricing
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
